What do I need to be an AYSO Coach/Assistant?

1.   All Coaches and Assistant Coaches must complete a current volunteer form.  Volunteer forms are completed every fiscal soccer year (Beginning Fall Season).

2.   Safe Haven Training – a one time training that needs to be completed prior to any practices or games.  AYSO ID# is required for this training which is obtained from the volunteer form in step 1.

3.   CDC Concussion Training – This is a state of Michigan mandated training for all youth sports.  AYSO ID# is required for this training.  

4.   Age Appropriate Training –  All age appropriate training is available with a trained coach instructor on dates determined by the region (check the website for applicable dates and times).  Or similar training is available online for the divisions listed below:

    – U6 and U8 trainings may be taken online at www.aysotraining.org .

    – U10 training can be completed in two steps:

                   Step 1. www.aysotraining.org  to complete the administrative portion
                             AND
                   Step 2. Field session with a trained instructor.***

***Field portion is Mandatory for completion of U10 Coach Training.
